Update 6/26/2012: Mystery solved!- the surprise gnome is actually the victim of a date error made a while back and he is actually Gnome #159 so I have gone through and made the corrections that dominoed into each other. Whew! That was some serious footwork to do. I have it all sorted and that "I think I'm missing something somewhere" feeling I had is now gone. That will teach me to skip photo shoots and listings......
I would say that I didn't know how this happened BUT- there is so much going on between packing, purging, taking care of kiddos and all the little details of uprooting an entire life- I would be lying- we can just leave it with the plain fact that I must not be firing on all pistons at the moment.
Here I was sorting the gnomes and tagging them and getting ready for the back log of photo shoots and as I labeled I came across this gnome and, thinking that he was an older gnome that had yet to be tagged, I went back through the posts. Then I went through again. The numbers are all there, photos and dates and there was this gnome who didn't fit in anywhere and I couldn't figure out where to put him. I hadn't missed any days as far as I could see and so there was an extra gnome.
What's a gal to do??
So, here he is, a little surprise gnome- he's almost tropical in his colorful glory and I am sure that therein lies the reason I think of Birds of Paradise when I see him..............
