A Gnome A Day- Day 183
I was tired and I have to admit something awful- I was so cross eyed and exhausted after my momma coastal trip that I made this little one with care but no matter what I did, she looked plain wonky. So, I photographed only her "good side" and realized that she was much like life. Sometimes we expect certain things and put so much into the outcome that we forget that it is more about the journey. So, though the final gnomeling wasn't up to what I would consider "par", she was the gnome of the day and a success of that elusive follow through I have been working so hard on for 183 days. 183 Days. That is some big stuff right there.
Because of these gnomes, I have been able to follow through on more than one thing- including the excruciating task of waking at 5:30am (sometimes after a midnight bedtime) to go to the 1 hour water aerobics bootcamp that has made me healthier, stronger and I lost some weight. It has also made me comfortable changing over to a way of eating that I used to be able to do and found hard after children since food was my treat. Then I discovered that I could also follow through on working with and through my anxiety issues (that's a book, right there- darn anxiety) and I have found projects and practice to be easier all the time. The process is so much more than we give it credit.
Thank you gnomes!!
So this gnomeling, she's here to teach tolerance of the self and gratitude for the journey we are all on....
This gnome was made on July 8th.
