Yesterday turned out to be another gnomeless day. Those tend to be few and far between but they happen. I had driven for a chunk of the day and was tired. I got caught up in the midst of our family's reunion after individual adventures and the remeshing of our family unit. When it was finally time to settle in after visiting with some friends in town and playing games with the kiddos, I was exhausted and ready for bed.
Of course, that is when my tired mind said, "Gnome?" in a questioning quiet, hopeful voice and I felt the exhaustion in my limbs and answered, "I'm afraid I won't make it today, I'm too done." Instead, I proceeded to face-plant into my pillow and sleep (oh sweet, sweet sleep).
Today, will definitely have a gnome. A gnome a day keeps insanity at bay :-)
