This gnome has something about him that draws me in- I don't know what it is. He has a particular charm and goodwill about him. Wednesdays are felting club and one of favorite days since I get to visit with one of my favorite families as we felt and talk. Today, this gnome, as he was being created, repeatedly jumped into my lap and my dear student giggled and said, "He's a lap gnome!" He certainly is, he prefers to stick close to home and visit over a cup of tea and stay close to those he loves. And that blue hat? Well- it was a particularly favorite shade of blue curly wool and that lends a certain amount of life and "umph" to him.....
