Yesterday was one of those brutal days that leave you exhausted mentally, emotionally and spiritually- no joke. It was a day in the classroom instead of working "in the field" and I found myself quite spent at the end of it with a headache to boot.
Then I settled into the solace and welcomed peace of gnoming. This girl came about full of light- quite possibly with the intention of helping me find light again myself. She is patient and kind and timid and gentle. She brings the sunshine with that yellow dress and connects me to the earth and the living things around me with that green hat. Ahhhh.......
Oh those gnomes- helping me find center over and over and reminding me how important it has become to have this one small practice to hold things together when it feels like they may shatter apart.
I'm off to gnome-it right now- the colors are laid out already- deep purple, soft lavender and a dark salmon. I can't wait to see how it comes together!
