2014 A Gnome A Day- Day 365

At about 11:00pm on the last day of 2014, I sat down to make the last gnome of the year.
Even though I was tired, I knew this had to have a little extra energy and hope around it. This end of year gnome needed to be someone extra special.
So I thought about it. I wanted a red hat in the tradition of gnome culture but I love that gray and coral so I used those for pants and shirt. And I knew that I needed this gnome to be female and I knew that she had to be strong and steeped in wisdom. I wanted her to represent hope and diversity and kinship and love and light. So she got "loose" hair and a daisy on her hat.
She tucked 2014 in and thanked it for the ups and downs and the wisdom it shared with the world. She whispered new hopes and dreams into the wind and then smiled and laid to rest the year that was 2014.....

This gnome was the final gnome of 2014.
She was made December 31, 2014

  1. To me, she looks like a young gnome headed to her future with strength and a desire for adventure. I like the daisy on her hat.
