Under a good six feet of snow, my rosa rugosa are sleeping. They were but tiny bare roots when I planted them last May and now I can't but wonder if they have made it through this cold, snowy winter. There were no roses from them last year but I have hope that they will have them this year. Luckily, my mother gave me two bushes that were already large and they bloomed.
This sweet baby is a rose gnome and will grow up to tend roses. That is the gift of this particular type of gnome. What is sweeter than a tender of roses?
This gnome was made on February 24th, 2015
