This is one of my favorite pictures from my recent road trip. It is also one of my favorite pictures full stop. It was under these amazing trees at The Red Wing Roots Music Festival in Virginia, that I felted the second little gnomeling for that sweet little soul in my life. As you recall from Day 191's post, that gnomeling was lost. We imagine him to be living with some other happy soul out in this big beautiful world of ours.
This gnomeling? He was made at the music festival. I sat on a blanket under these trees and I felted him and then used bark and leaves that we found to fashion him a tiny cradle-carrier. He was played with and then put carefully away so that he wouldn't be lost in the shuffle of music and laughter and play.
He is a tender soul. A bringer of soft kindnesses and gentle thoughts. One who bring peace with him, always....
