2014 A Gnome A Day- Day 214

Last night there was a party and I was invited which is a lovely and very unusual surprise. In our old life before we moved we often found ourselves at dinners and get togethers- all relaxed, never fancy. But since the move East there has been very little as we try to make our way into a new and different community. But on the Seawall surrounded by people from all over the country who found themselves working in beautiful Acadia this summer, I made a gnome. It grew so dark that by the time I put his eyes in I was squinting hoping that somehow that would help- it didn't. But this fellow, he's all about community. He's about bringing people together and inspiring kinship and the togetherness that humans so often need......
