2014 A Gnome A Day- Day 227

This was a wonderful day and this gnome will be going on our tree this holiday season to remind us of the day. I went to Acadia National Park but, this time, I took the children with me. It was their first time there. We started out early and had breakfast at the Common Good Cafe and then it was off to hike Flying Mountain, take turns kayaking and swimming in Echo Lake and then to the pink rocks at Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Last of all we walked around Bar Harbor and dreamed of living by the ocean and the adventures we would surely have....Then, tired, but oh so happy, we made our way home.
In the end, I had to make a gnome with the gray of the ocean, the pink of pink granite and red for a traditional gnome cap. This fellow is about family and fun and adventures together.....

This gnome was made August 15, 2014
